| CAN I STORE SKILLS INFORMATION AGAINST STAFF IN RETAIN? |
Retain is able to store skills information in a simple format. This can be achieved by adding a long text field, e.g. SKILLS, to the Resources data file to store a list of skills against each member of staff. Selections are then made on this field using the 'Contains' selection criteria in the selection dialog.
- As an example, the SKILLS field might be filled with the following if being used to store language skills:
| Resource Name | Language Skills |
| Anderson A | French German Italian |
| Bortoft K | French Russian |
| Lucas C |
If you would like to know more about how to add fields to Retain or how to do more complex selections, please contact Step2.
For more advanced storage of skill information a skills module has been produced specifically for this. Selections can be made in Retain using this information to select staff with particular skills.
